2022 Tide X Pirates SAS Charity Downwinder | Free Kitesurfing Magazine Online [Video]

Tide Watersports and the Pirates team up each year to do a 47 km downwinder to raise money for a charity. Usually, everyone wears Halloween costumes, but this year, they’re raising money for Surfers Against Sewage!

Water companies have released raw sewage into our waterways and seas for years due to neglect and mismanagement. This adversely affects the environment, wildlife, ecosystems, and water users. The government and these companies must accept responsibility for their actions, clean up the mess, and update the water management infrastructure.

By donating to Surfers Against Sewage and holding this event/protest, they hope we can raise awareness and money to fight this major problem that has plagued our waters for so long.

We had amazing support on the beach, and around 40 people joined the downwind run from Whitstable to Margate, with some covering a total distance of over 47 km. Everyone completed the event without …
