Muskegon Rescue Mission asking for donations for influx of need [Video]

On May 31, a low-barrier, 24-hour homeless shelter in Battle Creek is closing, leaving around 200 people in need of help.

MUSKEGON, Mich. — The Muskegon Rescue Mission (MRM) is preparing for a surge in homeless shelter needs as the closure of a Battle Creek shelter is leaving around 200 people in need of care. 

On May 31, a low-barrier, 24-hour homeless shelter in Battle Creek is closing. 

In response, MRM is opening its doors to the men, women and children affected by the closure, offering them essential services including shelter, meals, showers and clothing. 

MRM has no geographic restrictions and is willing to help anyone in need.
