Parkinson’s Champions United Airlines NYC Half Marathon [Video]

Please note this time is still TBD.

The NYC Half Marathon is a one-of-a-kind experience and showcases New York City’s historic landmarks, popular parks, sweeping views from the Manhattan Bridge, and diverse neighborhoods starting at Prospect Park in Brooklyn then passing Grand Army Plaza, the United Nations, Grand Central Terminal, and Times Square, before ending near the iconic TCS New York City Marathon finish line in Central Park. When you run with Parkinson’s Champions you will be running one of the largest marathons in the country to achieve a personal goal. But for the 1 million Americans living with Parkinson’s disease, it means so much more.

Parkinson’s Champions participate in the Parkinson’s Foundation’s community fundraising and endurance programs to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s disease (PD).

Meet London Marathon runner who drank glass of wine at every mile | Lifestyle [Video]

A London Marathon runner who has gone viral for drinking a glass of wine at the end of each mile has revealed how he felt at the end of the race. Tom Gilbey, 52, took on the challenge to raise money for the hospice where his mother was cared for in her final days. Instead of drinking water to keep hydrated after each mile, Mr Gilbey had a different glass of wine - consuming 25 glasses in total. In an incredible achievement, he completed the 26.2 mile run in four hours and 41 minutes, and has raised over 13,500 for Sobell House Hospice Charity in Oxfordshire.
