https://gogetfunding.com/for-kira-with-love/Kira is a wonderful dog that was left in a nearby village when she was about 8 months old. No one would take her in, nor give her any food and she was doomed to die out of starvation, all alone, in snow, in winter, on -10 degrees C…. But when my partner went to forest to get wood for heating, he saw her there freezing – she was following lumberjacks to forest in hope they would toss her some bread or….well any food…. They didn’t 🙁 Instead, everyone was chasing her away, tossing stones or sticks at her. But when all hope was almost lost my partner texted me a photo of her, asking if we have any meat for her. We gave her that day’s lunch meat – she ate it all at once, poor thing, like 1,5 kg of liver. But she was so scared and wouldn’t come near, due to all she went through; she was terrified that she would get beaten again. It took us a couple of hours to get her to come with us and ever since she has been our precious four legged family member. She finally has a home she deserves and will never be homeless again! Unfortunately, her right leg was injured and she needs X-rays because she often limps. Our local vet is not specialized and recommended us a specialized clinic. Also, our Kira needs to get neutered, cause almost as soon as we took her in her oestrus cycle started. We went through hell and back during those cca 3 weeks, but managed to keep male dogs away from her. After that she got phantom pregnancy and again needs medical attention… I am an artist and currently unemployed. My partner is working hard as a construction worker so as you can imagine, though we love all animals, and especially adore this rescued dog, we can’t afford expensive treatments for her at this moment. We plan to create a pet sitting area and as well as animal shelter area from our old barn as soon as we can, because we love all sorts of animals and like helping too.
