EBT purchases to be matched due to program launched by Gem City Market WHIO TV 7 and WHIO Radio [Video]

DAYTON — Gem City Market will be helping its customers by providing a 50% donation match on EBT eligible purchases starting today, according to a press release.

This means if a customer spends $100 on food items, they will only have to use $50 of their benefits while Gem City Market covers the rest.

The market received a donation from a generous community member who is, “dedicated to feeding those in need,” the release said.

GCM hopes other community members will see the impact and value of his program, inspiring others to support the cause through monetary donations, according to the release.
