Non-profit honors life of Sgt. Nix with memorial ride [Video]

A national non-profit, Operation Fly Our Flag, is hosting the event as a way to remember the life of the fallen Greensboro officer.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Cars are already lined up at the Greensboro Coliseum for a memorial ride to honor the life of Sergeant Dale Nix Sunday.

A national non-profit, Operation Fly Our Flag, is hosting the event as a way to remember the life of the fallen Greensboro officer.

“The more I learned about who Dale Nix was over those next couple of days, it really, really just kind of concreted that we needed to do something,” said president of the nonprofit Nathan Sheppard.

The ride will start from the Greensboro Coliseum all the way to Battleground Avenue.
