End-of-summer airfare discounts are in full swing, with students back in school, more workers back at their desks and business travel still lagging. Travel app Hopper says fall fares are down 9% from last year and 10% from 2019. Airfares for September and October are 29% lower than the average prices during the peak summer months.
Cruise passengers can be an area’s top economic driver, but also its top source of aggravation. In U.S. port cities including Juneau, Alaska, and Bar Harbor, Maine, local governments are focusing on how to manage these travelers and the enormous ships they travel on.
