AK order threatens to toss future state agreements if contractor boycotts Israel [Video]

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – Starting this week, entities that enter into contracts with the State of Alaska risk the contract being nullified if they engage in a boycott of Israel.

On February 5, Governor Mike Dunleavy released Administrative Order No. 352, which outlines the state’s position on Israel.

Highlighting what he calls a “mutually beneficial relationship” between Alaska and Israel, Dunleavy says the 49th State “stands firmly” with the middle eastern nation.

In addition to risking the potential termination of contracts with the State of Alaska, any businesses, nonprofit organizations, or other institutions also risk being disqualified from biddings, requests for proposals, and other actions related to contracts.

The order makes an exception for entities with fewer than 10 employees, and makes clear that certain public entities’ contracts will not be subject to the requirement.
