SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – On Wednesday, a check for $28,970 was donated to the Child Life department of Avera Children’s Hospital from Spirit of Children, a fundraiser put on by the Spirit Halloween Stores.
The money presented on Wednesday came from the fundraising efforts of the Sioux Falls, Sioux City and Rapid City stores.
The donation will go to patients and families in the Sioux Falls region.
Spirit of Children has raised more than $110 million nationally since its founding in 2007. The foundation focuses on making hospitals less scary for kids and their families.
