BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) — Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin announced he has partnered with the NFL and American Heart Association to donate AED devices to dozens of schools in Nevada.
“As a kid growing up, I never once thought twice about where an AED was, while I was in school or while I was playing. I was just a kid being a kid, and kids should be able to be kids,” Hamlin said. “But situations happen, accidents happen, and kids need to be able to play safe, especially when they’re at school.”
In total, the donation represents a $100,000 investment in student athlete safety.
Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest on the field in January 2023. Since then, his Chasing M’s Foundation has promoted CPR training and education in an effort to save lives.
