📽️ Today's #k12prtip is all about video. What does the data say about how videos impact reach on Facebook? How many videos should you aim to post every week? Let's find out: — Hey, it's Andrea back with the #K12PRtip and today, we're talking about video. How are you incorporating video into your social media strategy? I've got data right here to prove that adding more video is going to help you reach more people with the stories from your schools. We track stats for more than 125 schools every single week and what my stats tell me is that the schools getting the biggest reach, the school districts, sharing at least one video per week, and this is on Facebook, at least one video per week are getting way more views, way more reach than those that are only sharing on average of one video per month on Facebook. My challenge to you is this. Share at least one short video every single week on Facebook. This is a native upload. It's not a YouTube link. It's not a Vimeo link. It's native in Facebook, and see how that impacts your reach. It doesn't have to be professionally edited. It can just be off the cuff, right? An interview with a student or staff member, a live event from a pep rally, right? Or a classroom project or an experiment that the students are doing. Just share more video and you will see your reach grow. And I can't wait to see more. So until next time, keep telling those stories. — MORE RESOURCES: Free Video Training: Learn the simple secrets behind social media for K12 schools!
