Today is our last day in Hawaii and it is all about relaxation! We have a hotel overlooking Waikiki Beach (Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel) so decide our last day, we are going to stay right here… And the hotel has a great perk in that you get two beach chairs and an umbrella included in your stay! So we grab these and stake out our spot at the beach for the day.
Waikiki Beach is the most famous and busiest beach on Oahu… so does it live up to the hype? The first area we chose was on a lagoon so you could go out in very shallow water without having the waves, this is perfect for kids. And while we did like it, we decided to more a little further down and we are so glad we did! The waves look strong, but if you just let your body go, you will bob up and down with each wave and never go under the water. I swear I spent an hour doing this! There is also good snorkeling off the beach… and the waves are great for boogie boarding and surfing. We loved watching all of the surfers out there!
We ended the night with a walk along the beach to Duke’s for dinner. It was delicious and watching the sunset over Waikiki Beach on our final night in Hawaii was the perfect ending!
