Dollar General Literacy Foundation awards money to Northeast Ohio [Video]

Northeast Ohio had 16 recipients in Cuyahoga, Lake, Summit, Stark and Lorain counties.

GOODLETTSVILLE, Tenn. — EDITOR’S NOTE: The video above previously aired on 3News on Feb. 9, 2022. 

Across the state, DGLF awarded more than $114,000 in Ohio and $3 million across the country. 

The money is aimed to help “narrow the gap between learners’ needs and programs’ financial resources by providing books, technology, equipment or materials to youth education programs,” DGLF officials said in a press release. 

With the money, DGLF says they expect more than 18,600 lives in Ohio to be positively impacted.
