Nerve-wracking video shows a woman being safely rescued after she had fallen overboard from the tenth deck of a Royal Caribbean cruise ship this past weekend.
The 42-year-old passenger, who has not been identified but is a US citizen, fell overboard at a great distance as Royal Caribbean’s Mariner of the Seas was headed toward Willemstad, Curacao about 27 miles south of Puerto Rico.
Fellow passengers attempted to help locate the woman from their perches using binoculars.
The video shows passengers cheering on from their balconies as the crews were able to rescue her within 45 minutes.
It shocked the onlookers to discover that the woman was successfully rescued and made it back onboard in good health, according to the Coast Guard.
