With the holidays approaching, you may be stretching your budget to make ends meet. A food pantry is trying to stay stocked up while keeping stomachs full.
WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Rick Westray with the Brev Hunt Food Pantry in Warner Robins says they’ve already passed last year’s numbers for families coming in to get food.
By September, they already had close to 2,000 families come to the pantry for some extra support. That’s more than the number of people they served all last year, Westray said.
“Last year we had 1,905 families come through our food pantry and about 4,500 individuals. This year we already surpassed that number,” he said. “I give out whatever I get in.”
Westray is limited by the supplies he has, and one local business in Warner Robins is stepping up to the plate to lend a hand to the Brev Hunt Food Pantry.
