Momentous occasions of 60 years of Independence from Britain were marked by months of celebrations and launches. The Diamond Jubilee as was celebrated on August 6, 2022, and was the culmination of months’ worth of celebrations in Jamaica and its Diaspora. The theme “Re-igniting a nation for greatness” was used to inspire all to look back on the great achievements over the past 60 years and prepare to shine for another 60 years to come, and beyond.
