Johnson City Saladworks to close permanently on Feb. 16 [Video]

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Saladworks at University Center in Johnson City announced its upcoming permanent closure on Tuesday, with its last day slated for Feb. 16.

A social media post by the business said after three and a half years at the West State of Frankin Road location, financial strains became more than owners could sustain.

The post went on to say that during its time in operation, Saladworks has employed over 100 people and supported numerous local organizations and school groups through more than $100,000 in sponsorships and donations.

Saladworks said that over the coming week, some menu items and ingredients may become sold out, as inventory will dwindle while the location’s permanent closing date draws closer. Owners said in the post that any leftover perishables that remain following Feb. 16 will be donated to local food pantries and non-profits.
