Kansas City nonprofit helping underprivileged youth reach their goals [Video]

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Full Throttle Foundation first opened in January of this year, primarily serving underprivileged youth in the Kansas City Metro.

The organization first started in Overland Park, but the founders, Gina Hoang and Glen Csuimano, decided the move north in order to serve more kids in Kansas City.

“These kids want it, they want the same opportunities, they just don’t have the resources,” Csuimano said.

Full Throttle gives youth access to physical education, fitness training, and nutrition advice, while also introducing kids to mentors who grew up with similar experiences.

“It’s kind of like a small recreational center for them to come here and know the doors are always open,” Hoang said.
