‘Walkies’ fundraiser in aid of abandoned dogs in the Ukraine

There are thousands of hungry, terrified dogs abandoned in Ukraine as a result of the Russian/ Ukrainian war.
Our small group of fundraisers would like to support these animals through the charity IFAW Australia (International Fund for Animal Welfare) . Please take the time to read up on this charity and the wonderful work they do around the world. You can donate with confidence knowing the funds will reach this project .

Our plan of action is to raise money by walking the 500km of the York Peninsular in 19 days. The walk will start at Port Wakefield on the 2nd July, and will finish at Moonta Bay on the 20th July. We will take 2 days off at Foul Bay on days 10 and 11 for a little recovery time, and to let blisters heal!

We are so grateful for your support. One of our fellow fundraisers, Marianne, will keep you posted on our blog, and let you know how the walk is going. We will endeavour to take some photos of the scenery and wildlife on our journey .

Prior to the ‘Walkies’ walk, we will be promoting the walk and collecting funds at Moonta, Port Pirie, Port Augusta on the 18th June, and Roxby Downs, from the 19th June to the 21st June. All donations will be gratefully received.
Look out for a human sized Dalmation, a white Samoyed, a Boxer and Scooby Doo!

We will not be collecting money on the actual walk, and we ask if you would like to donate, please do so online through Our Choice.
