LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond festival organizer Danny Wimmer Presents raised over $100,000 for several local nonprofit organizations in Louisville.
The Danny Wimmer Presents Foundation presented these donations today to five local organizations, who were charity partners of this years’ festivals. Recipients of the donations included AMPED, Louisville Visual Art, Preston Area Business Alliance, Dare to Care, and Sweet Evening Breeze.
“Today we have an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the lasting impact of Danny Wimmer Presents and for what they impart on our local Louisville community,” Cleo Battle, president and CEO of Louisville Tourism, said in a news release Wednesday. “This positive impact goes way beyond the 8 festival days!”
The “Leave the Legacy” program, created by Louisville Tourism, has given events and conventions a creative way to give back to local nonprofits within the community.
