Coach Rose Hedberg Pursues Her Passions Of Writing And Traveling Through Grant Writing Consulting [Video]

Rose Hedberg is the founder of a writing services company called Ideas Write Now and an avid traveler. Grant writing has provided her with the flexibility to chase her passions: writing and traveling. ✍️ 🧳 For Rose, traveling after college was been a transformative experience. She packed her life into a 40L backpack and she started traveling with her husband which turned into 5 years of travel. 🎒 Along the way she learned how to be a writer. When COVID hit, it shook Rose’s life, and on of that, she lost her job at the time. A friend recommended grant writing and then she found Learn Grant Writing. 🦄 Rose got paid to learn and put her technical writing skills into action. She was able to pay back her course within six months! 💰 Here is a free training on how to build a career in grant writing: https://www.learngrantwriting.org/webinar-videos/discover-grant-writing Rose had imposter syndrome to the max when she first started. But, she learned and followed the grant writing unicorn method to a “T”. Her first three informational interviews resulted in three paid funding strategies! 🙌 Rose also pitched a writing course, Pen to Polished, for Learn Grant Writing. It’s now live and coincidentally, Rose’s proudest accomplishment. The course teaches you to write well and say what you mean in grant applications. 🤓 ➡️ ➡️ Grant Writing: From Start to Funded is our self-paced grant writing course. We strongly encourage you to take the course prior to Pen to Polished so you understand the course concepts described in Pen to Polished. She’s also a grant writing coach taking the lead on cohorts that LGW offers. 👩‍💻 ✨ Tips to combat fear of writing not being good enough: 1️⃣ Know every writer faces this. 2️⃣ Writing is an internal process and you just have to jump in. 3️⃣ Grant writing requires you just have to write well: answer the questions, write simple sentences, be concise + clear. To get into a writing habit, Rose suggests reading, writing, and editing. Figure out what you want in the end. Then, figure out how that fits into your life. 🧩 Rose’s key takeaways from Learn Grant Writing include learning to value her work and learning how to run a business. 💃 On top of that, she’s learned so much about being a professional business woman and loves the supportive community. 👯 For those wanting to chase their dream, Rose advises this: “You are the protagonist of your own story. If it’s not a book that you want to read, then change your story. Be the hero of your own story.” Resources and links: 🔸 Ideas Write Now: https://www.ideaswritenow.com/ 🔸 Grant Writing: From Start to Funded: https://www.learngrantwriting.org/grant-writing-class/ 🔸 Pen to Polished writing course: https://app.learngrantwriting.org/offers/L6mewjx7/checkout Questions about the Global Grant Writers Collective?
