Riverton transitional housing resource faces an uncertain future [Video]

RIVERTON, Wyo. (Wyoming News Now) – In all of Fremont County, there are only a number of organizations that offer transitional housing to those in need. Eagle’s Hope is one of those nonprofits. However, they are struggling to secure the funding they need to continue offering resources to the community.

Devin Anderson has seen the impact that having this resource can have in people’s lives firsthand. Before he began working at Eagle’s Hope, he was a resident. “Without us, there are a lot of people out there who have succeeded that I don’t know what they’d be doing right now if they hadn’t been able to come here and move on with their life, myself included,” he explains.

Last September, Eagle’s Hope lost a major funding source, the Community Service Block Grant provided by the Administration for Children and Families through the United States Department of Health. Without it, they are at risk of having to …
