Santa bikers take over A38 for Children’s Hospice South West [Video]

Hundreds of bikers donned Santa suits to deliver some much-needed Christmas cheer as they rode from Devon to Cornwall

Motorists have been taken aback today after seeing hundreds of motorcyclists dressed as Father Christmas barrelling down the A38 from Devon to Cornwall – but it was all part of an annual fundraising event for Children’s Hospice South West.

The yearly event aims to raise thousands of pounds for children who are in desperate need of support and care and motorcyclists from across the region met up at the Lee Mill industrial estate at 11am this morning to prepare, with some already wearing their Santa suits.

Others decorated their bikes with Christmas decorations including tinsel and even small trees before heading out at 12.15pm, towards Ivybridge, through Plymouth, onwards to Saltash and Liskeard before heading to the Children’s Hospice South West in Porthpean.
