South Dakota Community Foundation to host the 12th annual chili feed [Video]

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) – The South Dakota Community Foundation strives to make South Dakota the best it can be through grants, fundraisers, and events.

The Lead Deadwood Community Fund is one of 87 Community Savings Accounts under the South Dakota Community Foundation umbrella. The Advisory Council fundraises all of its own money for a permanent endowment, and a percentage of its endowment is granted to eligible nonprofits each year.

One way they raise money is through events, and coming up on Thursday, April 18, they are hosting the 12th annual Chili Feed at the Deadwood Mountain Grand. The event costs 9 dollars and gives you access to over 20 chili vendors and a silent auction. The recipients of this year’s grants will be announced as well.
