St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Amherst will hold its annual spaghetti dinner on Feb. 9 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Started in 2002 as a fundraiser for local charities, the event continues to provide monies to select charitable organizations that benefit the area. The parishioners make homemade sauce, either meat or vegetarian, cook the spaghetti fresh throughout the day, complete the meal with salad, garlic bread and homemade desserts.
The church is located at 332 S. Main St. in Amherst.
Diners are served in the church social hall that has been decorated to look like an Italian restaurant, complete with red checked tablecloths and Italian music. First responders on duty eat free as thanks for their service.
