Why the Church is Losing the Culture War [Video]

Support the channel by visiting https://brianholdsworth.caMusic provided by Paul Jernberg. Find out more about his work as a composer here: http://pauljernberg.comIt’s not enough to have a creed. We have a creed. We are right about ultimate truth, about how we should live our lives, about who we are, where we came from, and where we’re going. Our creed tells us that, but people aren’t merely rational. People aren’t drawn to mere assertions of the truth without some window dressing – and, in fact, they’ll happily embrace well-dressed falsehoods. Nobody is going to buy into a #creed when the people who profess it, don’t act like it’s the kind of thing worthy of its own distinct culture. Culture is the music, the art, the literature, the rituals, the #worship, and the way of life that is proceeds from that creed. Culture is the embodiment of creed, or more accurately, the embodiment of religion and a creed cannot survive if culture does not bloom out from its roots. The culture of the Church bloomed for 2000 years, until we decided, in the interest of not being too assertive, or perhaps because we took it for granted, that we could discard it. In our struggle or diplomatic dialogue, however you see it, we sacrificed the thing that motivated us, that renewed us, that made us attractive, that made us an alternative. We did something that countless martyrs died trying to prevent.Take for example, during the Protestant Revolution, how revolutionaries were seized with that old, embittered spirit of iconoclasm. They stormed sanctuaries of churches and monasteries, smashing stained glass windows and destroyed all the sacred art they could find. But in the immediate aftermath of the Second #Vatican Council, it wasn’t some previously unknown adversary who vandalized our sacred spaces. We did it ourselves. We were seized by that same spirit, but with the added ingredient of what Pope Benedict XVI might have referred to as a pathological self-hatred. We literally brought jackhammers and other instruments of destruction into our own sacred spaces and set to the unfinished work of the revolutionaries. We abandoned the expressions of our faith that had aroused the affections of countless generations for the creed we professed, and perhaps, even, the respect from those who didn’t profess it.And it didn’t stop with ornaments, altars, paintings, and statues, we abandoned our language, our songs, our architecture, our ancient rituals, even our calendar of feasts, as if all the other concessions weren’t enough. In place of the #culture we self-sabotaged, we either contented ourselves with the nihilistic emptiness of the aftermath, or we tried to synthesize elements of other cultures into the residue of our own. We were convinced that this would make us more attractive to non-Christians in our evangelistic efforts. All we have to do to attract them to a creed they don’t want, is offer them a culture they already have, but much less sophisticated because we don’t have the resources of, say, Hollywood, and much less authentic because it isn’t actually born out of our own creed. We’re just play acting at someone else’s. And as we should have expected, there was no wave of converts. Instead, there was a mass exodus which continues to this day. Why Churches must engage young leaders| 2022 National Survey Results [Video]

View the summary report: https://www.waybase.com/report2022In February of 2022, WayBase conducted our third annual national survey of Christian church and ministry leaders in Canada. The survey had over 2,000 Christian leaders participate from across the country, representing different Christian faith streams, and different sectors of Christian charities. Older leaders are committed, but engaging younger leaders is key to the long-term health of the Christian sector. This presents stability that allows young leaders to develop in a supportive environment with experienced senior leaders. On the other hand—there are fewer opportunities for younger leaders who are ready for senior positions. Although the majority of leaders are committed, leaders under the age of 40 were twice as likely to consider leaving. This creates a significant leadership pipeline challenge for the church. For more reports, data, and digital tools that will help your ministry go to http://www.waybase.comWhat’s WayBase? And why does it matter?Disconnection and distraction limit the impact of the Christian sector. Our website helps Christian organizations connect and work together, and our app helps people engage their spiritual life in meaningful ways—together creating a movement for greater impact and deeper growth.

Last Days Message – 2 Signs Will Happen To Those That Will Not Come Out Of The Mainstream Church! [Video]

Revelation 3:16 states: “So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth”When we looked online to find out how to make, for example, water or milk lukewarm, this is the response: “Lukewarm is when you mix together 1 part normal, room temperature water with 2 parts boiling water or milk. Simple! Now that’s your lukewarm water or milk.”So, if we carry that over to “Institutional Christianity” we can see that there is some semblance of “true Christianity”, albeit these days, seemingly very miniscule, but today so much “worldliness” and “traditions of man” and “holidays” and “501(c)(3)s” and “church boards” and “humanitarian efforts” and “fundraising” and “VBS/Sunday School/Youth Groups” and “denominational rules” and so on, have been added in, that it has made “Institutional Christianity” inherently Lukewarm. For many, they would admit that there is some lukewarmness and maybe make some changes, but the most resistance comes when we state that there are no holidays that we are supposed to be celebrating according to God’s word. That really stops people. Holidays are fun and family oriented and practiced world wide. The holidays that are celebrated and “pushed” by mainstream churches were created over two hundred + years after Jesus and the disciples walked the earth. Here is a list of those holidays that were created and were not commemorated or celebrated by the disciples in God’s word and not established by God to be memorialized on a yearly basis. This list is in order by the “church calendar”:Feast of the epiphanyAsh WednesdayLentPalm SundayHoly ThursdayGood FridayHoly SaturdayEasterFeast of pentecostAdventChristmasWe dropped all of these holidays years ago and we continue to ask God to show us any other ways we are lukewarm. Leaders and believers must recognize these were added by man and God has not established these. So since they have been added, then that makes them part of the lukewarmness that Jesus is referring to in Revelation 3:14 – 22. Come out from “Institutional Christianity” and get back, SOLELY, to the bible. We are to rely on God’s Word and let Him speak when we gather together. We are to be expectant that God will do the things TODAY, that He did in His Word. We should keep our focus on what God asked us to do: Praying, telling everyone about Jesus, meeting together for God’s purposes and worshiping Him alone, remembering Him by the breaking of bread and drinking of the fruit of the vine, loving one another, forgiving one another, obeying COMPLETELY the 10 commandments, seeking Him, worshiping Him in Spirit and in Truth, be in the world but not of the world, study His Word, obey His Word. We have been sent as watchmen to warn you that Revelation 3:14 – 22 is soon to come to pass. Before you are vomited out, and remember, no one goes back and ingests what was vomited and neither will God, get back to a right place. Once you are vomited that is it.The watchmen are pleading with you to drop everything immediately that is not in God’s Word.Get off the fence, never mind what others will say or do. It is better to have no one with you than to have a bunch of fence sitters and worldly people surrounding you. Come out from among them!We are not to be people pleasers, in any way shape or form, God is the only one we are to please!Another list of Lukewarm activities that the mainstream church has added to its list of “how we do things”: HolidaysChurch BulletinsScripted Song ServicesOrder of ServicesMeet and greet as part of serviceAnnouncements as part of serviceSunday SchoolVBSYouth groupsSingles groupsWomen’s groupsMen’s groupsRecovery groupsBringing the world’s “Special” days into the serviceRummage salesFund raisersBy-lawsBusiness meetings501c(3)sMessages based on commentaries…Messages that start with a joke…Fully defined messages completely written out…And the list goes on and on…If you have taken the time to watch this, please take a moment to leave us a comment! Share this with as many people as possible! Time is running short! We are preaching the Word of God as directed and anointed by the Holy Spirit! We have been sent as watchmen to speak boldly and confidently as directed by the Lord! The last days are here and the church will fall away as foretold in the Scriptures. Institutional Christianity has FULLY embraced LUKEWARMNESS and is very dangerous for anyone trying to live by the Scriptures. Those that come out from among them and answer Jesus, who is knocking at your door, will escape from being vomited from His body. Turn away from man-made traditions and be hot for Jesus and not lukewarm! Look to Jesus for answers not man. We only need one book and that is the bible. Whether you hear and change, or scoff at these messages, the choice is yours. We are also on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/freedominchristgospeloutreach
