May 27th 2022 was filled with so much Disney magic! In the morning I didn’t even have a park pass reservation for Epcot or any of the parks because they all were sold out. I worked during the day but wanted to go to Epcot in the evening to be apart of the opening day excitement! After refreshing My Disney Experience all day long I got a same day park pass reservation for Epcot! At this point the virtual queue and all the individual lightning lanes for Guardians were full as I expected but I was thrilled to just go into the park to walk around the new area, check out the excitement and see the merchandise. However, a magical moment happened and I GOT TO RIDE Guardians of the Galaxy opening day – a Disney guest gave me their lightning lane to be able to ride the attraction. A huge thank you to my new friend Christine who saw me in Epcot and asked if I would like the join her party as they had an extra return time since her daughter was not yet tall enough to ride. I am forever amazed by this incredible Disney community! Dapper Day started in 2011 and is an unofficial Disney event where you dress your best to go to the parks to enjoy the day! They have events outside the Disney Parks too! We went a couple times before the pandemic but haven’t been since, so we were super excited to go again! We enjoy the day at Epcot and get several pictures in our outfits and see so many more amazing outfits too! We also ride Remy’s Ratatouille’s Adventure too! We sat outside at Disney California Adventure’s Lamplight Lounge on a lovely afternoon and enjoyed a snack and a cocktail. We were able to sign up for the walk up wait list for Lamplight Lounge and were seated in about 15 minutes. The outside section we sat in is called Boardwalk Dining and has a smaller and different menu than the inside section of Lamplight Lounge.
