Europe Travel Italy And Germany Drop Travel Restrictions For June [Video]

The press is calling it the summer of ‘revenge travel’ and the statistics make the point—despite travelers’ fears of inflation, Covid and safety, and despite huge staff shortages in the travel and hospitality industry—people are on the move. And across the region, many European countries have relaxed travel restrictions but throughout most of May, some of the biggest—France, Spain, Italy and Germany—had severe restrictions in place. However, from 1 June, Italy and Germany are removing travel restrictions, at least temporarily. German Health Minister, Karl Lauterbach, announced that the 3G rule to enter the country would be suspended until September. The 3G rule currently demands that travelers present a valid vaccination, recovery, or test certificate in order to enter the country—a view will be taken after the summer season regarding Covid infection rates. The country still has a clause in place that travelers arriving from an “area of virus variant” would still need to enter quarantine for 14 days but there are currently no countries on this list. However, there is a clause in the new law that means this mostly applies to people who are coming from the EU/EEA or a safe list country or those that are considered fully vaccinated. However, for the summer, Germany is recognising vaccines that are on the WHO emergency use list—as well as those vaccines that have been approved for use in the EU. So this adds people who have had CoronaVac, Sinopharm BIBP and Covaxin, for example.14 days must have passed after a second dose to be counted as fully vaccinated and a booster is required after a further 9 months to keep the status active. The Italian ministry of Health announced that it would not be renewing the requirement that expires on 31 May for travelers to show a vaccination, recovery or test certificate upon arrival, regardless of country of origin or departure. It had already scrapped the need for filling in a Passenger Locator Form on 31 May. Spain and France still have some bureaucracy in place. Spain is now open to unvaccinated travelers with testing as is France—up-to-date rules for entering France can be found here. All data is taken from the source: http://forbes.comArticle Link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2022/06/01/europe-travel-2-remaining-big-guns-drop-travel-restrictions-for-june/#country #newsmusic #kingworldnews #newstodayupdate #bbcnewstoday #newstodayusa #

Mont-Saint-Michel 🏰 | Normandy, France 🇫🇷 | Europe Travel | 🎥 by voyagefox [Video]

The Mont-Saint-Michel is one of Europe’s most unforgettable sights. Set in a mesmerising bay shared by Normandy and Brittany, the mount is visible from a great distance. This beautiful location has long captured the imagination. The story of how the mount came to be a great Christian pilgrimage site dates back to the 8th century, when Aubert, bishop of the nearby hilltop town of Avranches, claimed that the Archangel Michael himself had pressured him into having a church built atop the island just out to sea.🎥 by voyagefoxSubscribe for more travel inspiration ✈️Follow us on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/admirationtravel/#montstmichel #mont #france #normandy #french #brittany #europe #europetravel #church #vikings #castle #travel #wondersoftheworld #explore #traveldestination #trendingnow #trending #shorts #shortsfeed #shortsvideo #travelshorts #traveling #travelgram #heaven #sand #bestplacestotravel #peace #francais #francetravel #francetourism

Europe Travel 2 Low Cost EU Airlines Launch New Routes To U S [Video]

For anyone pining for a piping hot pain au chocolat, fresh from a French boulangerie or anyone looking to marvel at an Icelandic geyser, there are two new low-cost ways to get to European hubs this summer, with new U. S. routes beginning from relative newcomers to the airline industry. French Bee launched a low-cost route from Los Angeles (LAX) to Paris (ORY), holding its inaugural flight on 1 May 2022. The route will fly three times each week for now, leading up to six weekly flights by July. The airline operates with Airbus 350s, holding 411 passengers. The flight lasts 10 hours and prices start from $321 one-way for a basic ticket, with the ability for customers to buy more legroom and more in-flight meals (the basic ticket comes with just one meal). The expansion from French Bee comes despite losses of more than 50% and 40% in 2020 and 2021 respectively during the Covid-19 pandemic. The low-cost Icelandic airline Play, which uses the tagline, “pay less, play more” flies to 22 European destinations and launched during the pandemic–the only low-cost airline to do so. Since 20 April 2022, Play has been flying from Reykjavik to Baltimore/Washington D. C (BWI) and plans to launch a service to Boston (BOS) on May 22, from New York (SWF) on June 9 and during the fall, it will start a seasonal route from Orlando (MCO) beginning on October 1. Fares to Iceland from Washington D. C. start at $133 one-way for a little more leg-room than is traditionally provided by other low-cost carriers–at 34 inches of seat pitch and 200 seats per plane. The airline also offers a pay-as-you-go model, adding on extra legroom and bigger bags. Stopovers can also be factored into ticket prices at no extra cost. The airline does not plan to be too aggressive in its expansion strategy and will focus on North America’s East Coast–good news for Americans looking to find a cheaper way to head to Europe this summer. All data is taken from the source: http://forbes.comArticle Link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2022/05/02/europe-travel-2-low-cost-eu-airlines-launch-new-routes-to-us/#airline #newsfunny #newstodayupdate #kingworldnews #bbcnewstoday #newstodaylocal #

Europe Travel Greece Becomes Latest EU Country To Scrap Travel [Video]

As travel between the U. S. and Europe is estimated to rise an unsurprising 600% on last summer’s figures, Greece becomes the latest European country to drop its travel restrictions–15 EU countries have so far done so, according to The Independent. From 1 May onwards, it will no longer be necessary to show proof of having been vaccinated, recovered from Covid-19 nor having had a pre-travel test result to enter Greece. This will be the case for travelers arriving from all countries. Additionally, the mask mandate for public spaces will be dropped from 1 June to September, before taking a view if it needs to be reinstated in the autumn months. Greece’s health minister, Thanos Plevris, said that the situation had stabilised so much that conditions could be relaxed in time for the summer tourist season. Until 1 May, it is still necessary to have either proof of having had two vaccinations or proof of recovery from Covid or the result of a negative PCR test (within 72 hours) or antigen test (within 24 hours) to be allowed to enter. It is no longer necessary, since mid-March, to fill out a Passenger Locator Form before entering the country. Greece now becomes one of many EU countries where people can travel with less paperwork and hassle than has previously been the case in the two years prior during the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of these destinations also happen to have recently been listed as the world’s happiest countries, making any journey a travel win-win. It is worth noting, however, that Covid-19 rates have been rising in Greece. The European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) reported on 21 April that the 14-day notification rate per 100,000 inhabitants weighted by vaccines uptake is still very high and Greece remains colored dark-red on the ECDC map of Europe. All data is taken from the source: http://forbes.comArticle Link: https://www.forbes.com/sites/alexledsom/2022/04/22/europe-travel-greece-becomes-latest-eu-country-to-scrap-travel-restrictions/#greece #newsfeed #newstodayfox #newstodaylocal #usanewstoday #newstodayabc #
