It is called:www.guidestar.orgThere are some good tools online to understand how to read 990 tax forms in which every non-profit has to report so you can see how they spend money and how they raise money.Even more important, remember the Heart of Generosity is far more than money. ~ Get involved~ Time, talent, volunteer, serve, use your unique qualities to add to an organization, when you get involved with an organization you will see the real impact of that organization and what is happening behind the scenes with your generosity.

This one is true.~ It is important to handle generosity properly~ Give a man a fish, fed him for a day ~ Teach a man to fish, you have fed him for a lifetime. Teach a man to beg for fish, he will be begging for a lifetime.~ Be strategic with your generosity.~ Entitlement is the notion that people have a right to a particular benefit, without earning it. This is an attitude that has become prevalent: giving people something for nothing. But, having said that,~ Not being a generous person is also a choice that has entitlement all over it. We must be careful that we don’t point a finger either way.Instead let’s be more strategic and make sure we are using generosity to make a difference.2 Thessalonians 3:10-12“For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.” This is one of the reasons I’m against the idea of just sending money without any personal connection to the passion area. If it is a passion area go all in.Time, talent, and treasure…get involved, what are those skills you can add to the ministry you love; how can you volunteer time to advance the movement you care so deeply about. When you give money how can you strategically give that offering, the above and beyond blessing to pour gas on a fire. You can only answer that when you personally go all in with that mission.This comes from a Heart of Generosity, and it is life changing.

Why should I have a Heart of Generosity? I heard Bill Gates gave away a billion dollars. I make $500 a week. What’s my $50 compared to a billion?Here is the full message: https://youtu.be/gdg_3gUud6U~ The generosity of many people is more powerful!~ Do the math: There are over 300 million people in America alone. What if 200 million Americans give $50• That would be 10 billion dollars• Now:~ How frequently could everyone give $50• Imagine that kind of money in the area you are passionate about for God. How quickly would all those small gifts make a difference. 1 month, 2 months, 3 months…30 billion dollars like that…if everyone had $50 worth of faith and the Heart of Generosity.• Do you see why this subject matters?• Don’t ever let small gifts hold you back• Furthermore:~ There are reasons you should give regardless• The Heart of Generosity does something far greater in you and your family. It changes everything and when you are doing it for God as the hands and feet of God, there is no limit to what God can do both with that gift and with you in those actions.~ This goes back to a previous one we talk about but be specific with your dollars. Do the work to see how your small amount can be a pouring of gasoline on a fire.~ If you didn’t see my latest news video from the newsletter this last week, I talked about how through a gift from someone passing away this last year. In their will they gave a gift to the church, this allowed us to take a home that was falling on our 14 acres out back, mice overtaking it, woodpeckers destroying it, we now had the funds to get it back to livable space. We were able to bless someone in need of a home because every rentable space in our area is going to short term rentals. Now we have rental income coming in every month. This gift now will be multiplied many times over and go directly into ministry for many years to come. This is doing the work to see how your gift can be multiplied by the passion area God has led you to give it towards.~ By the way if you are not getting our weekly email newsletters with all these updates, fill out your welcome card on your bulletin and write NEWSLETTER across it somewhere to make sure you get weekly updates. Day 5 of my song-a-day-for-28-days for FND Hope UK’s “Challenge 28” fundraising campaign. “Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone)”Yesterday, I did a charity stall for FND Hope UK at our local Jubilee Community Picnic. I had a great day but, as all those with FND will understand, today has been a write-off! I have slept most of the day and feel pretty bleurgh! I can’t feel the bottom of my right leg and have limited sensation in the right. My skin is “buzzing”, my hands are clenched and I have a stinking headache that I have, so far, managed to catch before becoming a migraine. However, I did manage to get my hair brushed, put on a t-shirt and sing today’s song which was requested by my lovely friend, Grace. I am so glad that Grace chose this song as it is the foundation of my own faith. I am not at my best, but have given it the best that I can today.On 28th June 2022, FND Hope UK will be celebrating 5 years as a registered charity. This challenge is to help celebrate that, raise awareness of FND and also fundraise to support the wonderful FND community out there. I am extremely grateful to FND Hope UK for the support I have received, the friendships I have developed with others with FND, and also for giving me purpose by enabling me to get involved in fundraising and as a volunteer for the charity.
