The Top Three Must-Do Things Before Submitting The Grant Proposal You Fought Tooth And Nail For 🔨 [Video]

Whew, you made it this far! You researched, labored, and crafted the most compelling grant proposal ever. Give yourself a pat on the back! 🎉But, we’re not done yet! There are 3 key things to do before submitting your proposal.Curious how you could get into grant writing and build a career in it? Here is a free training on how to do that without volunteering or having prior experience: https://www.learngrantwriting.org/webinar-videos/discover-grant-writing1️⃣ Review FormattingFollow formatting guidelines to the “T” no matter how…detailed. The last thing you want is to be at a disadvantage with the funder because you didn’t follow the rules or worse…have your proposal rejected out of the gate. You worked too hard for that to happen. 🙅‍♀️Next, always proofread. Bring in another set of eyes for an independent review. 👀2️⃣ Gather AttachmentsGet an early start! Make sure your attachments are up to date, current, and relevant to your proposal. 3️⃣ Tips For Submission🔸 Ensure you are pre-registered in the system (if that’s necessary) and that you’re submitting well before the deadline. 🔸 At the beginning of working on the grant, start from the deadline and work your way backward. Insert action items that need to be completed to keep everyone on track. 🔸 Receive a confirmation that the funder received the proposal and make sure to save and file that away. What is your routine for submitting grants? Let us know in the comments!Like audiobooks and podcasts? Journey From Nonprofit Employee To Grant Writing Consultant Via Introspection & Moments Of Bravery 💫 [Video]

Alix Joslyn worked for a long time working for various nonprofit organizations. Coupled with her yoga practice on the side, Alix realized she needed to start listening more to her intuition. And, she learned that there are other ways of being in the world professionally. Through a long transition, she has finally landed on grant writing consulting. 📝 Curious how you could get into grant writing and build a career in it? Here is a free training on how to do that without volunteering or having prior experience: https://www.learngrantwriting.org/webinar-videos/discover-grant-writingWriting is a strength for Alix. She appreciates the niche focus of grants, especially coming from working in nonprofits and wearing lots of different hats. 👒 Still, making the leap to freelancing was scary. Looking back, Alix can see how bravery came in the smaller moments for her. She also made a helpful mindset shift of borrowing the conviction of other people in her life when she lacks it herself. ✨The most difficult part of branching out on her own has been the instability of the work as her client load ebbs and flows. The best part? Helping clients who have missions she’s passionate about. 💯 Her biggest win was stepping into a leadership role that she felt a little ill-equipped for. She pushed herself outside of her comfort zone, worked so hard, and learned a ton on a major project to write an EPA grant for a for-profit company. 💪Alix’s key takeaways from the Collective: 1️⃣ Funding Strategy2️⃣ You don’t have to be brave by yourself.3️⃣ The power of teaming up with another member in the Collective.Resources and links:🔸 Alix’s LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alix-joslyn-507b3656/ Still have questions about the Global Grant Writers Collective?
