Whew, you made it this far! You researched, labored, and crafted the most compelling grant proposal ever. Give yourself a pat on the back! 🎉But, we’re not done yet! The last thing you want is to be at a disadvantage with the funder because you didn’t follow the rules or worse…have your proposal rejected out of the gate. You worked too hard for that to happen. 🙅‍♀️Next, always proofread. Bring in another set of eyes for an independent review. 👀2️⃣ Gather AttachmentsGet an early start! Make sure your attachments are up to date, current, and relevant to your proposal. 3️⃣ Tips For Submission🔸 Ensure you are pre-registered in the system (if that’s necessary) and that you’re submitting well before the deadline. 🔸 At the beginning of working on the grant, start from the deadline and work your way backward. Insert action items that need to be completed to keep everyone on track. 🔸 Receive a confirmation that the funder received the proposal and make sure to save and file that away. Alix Joslyn worked for a long time working for various nonprofit organizations. Coupled with her yoga practice on the side, Alix realized she needed to start listening more to her intuition. And, she learned that there are other ways of being in the world professionally. She also made a helpful mindset shift of borrowing the conviction of other people in her life when she lacks it herself. ✨The most difficult part of branching out on her own has been the instability of the work as her client load ebbs and flows. The best part? Helping clients who have missions she’s passionate about. 💯 Her biggest win was stepping into a leadership role that she felt a little ill-equipped for.
