Why is Nonprofit Board Finance Training Needed? [Video]

After my first workshop for nonprofit finance, a board member told me she had never been trained on the topic. She was a seasoned board member. So imagine, how many other individuals are sitting on boards with no financial knowledge. This is why nonprofit board financial training is needed. Here are 3 reasons for financial training:Legal and ethical duty: Board members are responsible for ensuring finances are being managed. Financial training should be required to ensure board members understand the nonprofit’s finances to make informed decisions.Accountability: The board is responsible for ensuring that donations and grant funds are used wisely. Financial training helps the board understand how to use the funds effectively while being transparent.Sound Decision Making: Financial training enables board members to have the knowledge to analyze budgets and financial statements. Financial training empowers board members to ask questions, make decisions, and most importantly fundraise with a purpose!Join us on September 19th at our What Nonprofit Board Should Know about Finance workshop.Register: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/2023-bookkeepingaccounting-workshops-1680269
