Quintessential Listening: Poetry Online Radio Proudly Presents Aaron Poochigian 06/20 by Michael Anthony Ingram [Video]

Aaron Poochigian earned a PhD in Classics from the University of Minnesota and an MFA in Poetry from Columbia University. His thriller in verse, Mr. Either/Or, was released by Etruscan Press in the fall of 2017, and the sequel, Mr. Either/Or: All the Rage, is out this June. A recipient of an NEA Grant in translation, he has published translations with Penguin Classics and W. W. Norton. His latest collection of poetry, American Divine, the winner of the Richard Wilbur Award, came out in 2021. His other poetry collections are Manhattanite (Able Muse Press, 2017), winner of the 2016 Able Muse Book Award, and The Cosmic Purr (Able Muse Press, 2012). Georgia Department of Education awards grant funding to multiple south Georgia public school districts [Video]

The Georgia Department of Education announced Thursday that several public school districts in south Georgia were awarded grant funding for core educational items for students. The department of education said 11 school districts in the region will receive part of $6,123,948 during the third round of opportunity grant funding. School districts in Brooks, Clinch, Decatur, Echols, Grady, Lanier, Lowndes, Seminole and Thomas counties along with Thomasville City and Valdosta City received grant funding.
