TOP 10 islands in ITALY 🇮🇹 – Europe’s exotic travel destinations 🏖️ [Video]

#Italy, one of #Europe’s top #travel #destinations. #Historic #monuments, rich and #diverse #culture, #art, delicious local #cuisine and more than 50 #beautiful #islands to #explore in the center of the #Mediterranean sea. Today we will #discover the Top 10 #Italian #islands you #must #visit!00:00 Intro00:57 #Ponza01:55 #Lampedusa02:51 #Levanzo03:40 #Procida04:42 #Lipari05:42 #Elba06:34 #Ischia07:37 #Capri08:51 #Sicily10:42 #Sardinia11:47 #Maps#10 PONZA: Ponza is the largest of the #Pontine Islands, the string of tiny islands located off the coast of the #Lazio region in Italy. Ponza is a popular summer vacation destination for Italians, especially #Romans and Neapolitans, as #Rome and #Naples are only a short drive and ferry ride away.Known by some as “Capri without the #tourists,” Ponza is a worthy vacation destination for #travelers who want to experience summer the Italian way, basking in the beauty of the #Mediterranian. Besides having pleasantly temperate #weather and gorgeous #scenery, Ponza is rich with history.#9 LAMPEDUSA: An enchanting island with paradise beaches and sea-beds for #relaxation in contact with wild and surprising #nature. It is one of the most-frequented destinations of sun-worshippers, #scuba-divers and nature lovers, and it is the last trace of Italian terrain before the #African coast. Lampedusa, glorious, sun-bleached island south of Sicily, helps to create the #Pelagian Archipelago along with neighboring island #Linosa and the #Scoglio (a tiny boulder of an island) known as #Lampione.#8 LEVANZO the smallest of the three #Egadi Islands, off the western coast of Sicily. The island’s little #port is hugely picturesque; a small cluster of pale square buildings huddled around a little #harbour of an amazing blue. Fishing and boating are big activities here. Visitors can, swim, #sunbathe and enjoy the island atmosphere. There’s one major tourist sight on the island: the #Grotta del #Genovese, a cave containing prehistoric art.#7 PROCIDA The Secret Island in the Bay of Naples. On this tiny island you’ll find pastel-coloured fishing villages, black sand beaches, and a maze of narrow winding streets. Procida is the smallest island in the Bay of Naples, just a 40′ #hydrofoil ride from Naples. Procida Island is Italy’s #Capital of Culture 2022.#6 LIPARI, the largest of the #Aeolian Islands, off the north-east coast of Sicily. The easiest way to get to Lipari is to take a ferry from #Milazzo on the north coast of Sicily. Unlike some of the neighbouring islands (especially #Vulcano and #Stromboli), Lipari itself doesn’t feature an active volcano. It offers some great scenery, a selection of #beaches, and the liveliest #town – Lipari is active late into the night and has a very wide selection of #bars and #restaurants.#5 ELBA the island of surprises. Breath-taking vistas around every corner. The island may seem small but so many delights are waiting to be discovered that one holiday here won’t ever suffice. This wonderful variety of atmospheres, views and landscapes originates from the extreme diversity of Elba.#4 ISCHIA A quietly idyllic island in the #Tyrrhenian Sea, Ischia offers a heartwarming dose of Italian beauty, spirit and #hospitality, with a generous splash of nostalgia for the Italy of yesteryear. Here, five-star hotels and luxurious #thermal #springs are juxtaposed with scenes of Italian grandmothers hanging out laundry, street #parades, adults zooming by on #Vespa. #3 CAPRI, located in the Gulf of Naples, across the #Sorrento peninsula and #Amalfi coast. It’s a fascinating and unique destination that attracts millions of visitors every year. Capri is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean Sea where culture and nature come together to create a heavenly atmosphere.#2 SICILY Seductively beautiful and perfectly placed in the heart of the Mediterranean, Sicily has been luring passersby since the time of #legends. The land of the #Cyclops has been praised by poets and prized by the many ancient cultures – Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Romans and Greeks. #Agrigento’s temple, #Selinunte’s columns, the dancing #satyr statue from #Mazara del Vallo’s, #Palerma, #Catania, #Taormina, #Cefalu# SARDINIA captivates with its wild hinterland, out-of-this-world beaches and endearing eccentricities. It has some of the dreamiest beaches you’ll find without stepping off #European #shores. White sand and the bluest blue sea. Costa #Smeralda, celebrities and supermodels frolic in #emerald waters; the Golfo di #Orosei, La #Maddalena granite islands. Music theme: Ti Amo – #lacasadepapel remix
