WCK first reached the mountains in San Bernardino County with sandwiches and water and later established a farmers market-style distribution site where families could grab a nourishing, warm meal along with bags of fresh produce to cook at home. In total, we distributed more than 25,000 lbs of produce and 1,600 meals. #ChefsForCalifornia__ Founded in 2010 by Chef José Andrés, World Central Kitchen (WCK) is a nonprofit organization that is first to the frontlines providing fresh meals in response to crises, while working to build resilient food systems with locally led solutions.
