Memorial Day Weekend air travel to reach record numbers of passengers across the US. Here is some information good to know this weekend in Honolulu.

HONOLULU (Island News) – While some are awaiting 5 p.m. Friday to start off the Holiday weekend, as travel goes the Memorial Day Weekend starts Thursday.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is projecting about 3.5 million people will be flying over these next five days – the most this annual May weekend has seen since 2005. According to AAA, they’re projecting this to be the second-busiest Memorial Day weekend of air travel since they started tracking that data in 2001.
