VNSA Used Book Sale this week donates to Phoenix-area nonprofits [Video]

PHOENIX (3TV/CBS 5) — It’s that time of year again! While the Super Bowl may be on Sunday, the Super Bowl for booklovers is at the Arizona State Fairgrounds this weekend.

The 67th Annual VNSA (Volunteer Non-Profit Service Association) Used Book Sale is Saturday, February 10th and Sunday, February 11th. Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday. Gates open at 5 a.m. and you are not allowed to camp overnight.

It is free to go to the sale, however you do have to pay $12 for parking at the fairgrounds.

Some books cost only $1 and everything is half-price on Sunday, excluding the rare and unusual category. There are 29 topics from children’s books to fiction, history and more. According the the VNSA Book Sale chair, among the donations this year is a collection of signed 1st editions written by political leaders.

The book sale is organized by more than 120 members
