LEBANON, Tenn. (WSMV) – Wilson Central High School is enjoying the limelight after a video of their new pregame ritual for boys and girls basketball went viral.
Jay Holladay, a teacher at Wilson Central, had an idea to elevate the atmosphere at athletic events. After some research, some fundraising and some long hours, the Wildcats were able to unveil their new projection system earlier this season. Once Holladay and his team felt comfortable, they posted a video of the light show to social media and it spread instantly.
“I never dreamed that it would explode the way it has exploded,” Holladay said.
The video was shared by ESPN on TikTok, and has over 44,000 likes. Across numerous social media platforms, the video has been seen nearly a million times.
