You Are Not Alone resource wall unveiled in North Pole [Video]

FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF) – A new wall offering community aid was unveiled in North Pole on Friday.

The wall, which stands in the Terry Miller Memorial Park on Santa Claus Lane, contains sixteen plaques with QR codes linking to various charitable organizations, including crisis lines, food pantries, pregnancy resources, and financial aid. Anyone with a smartphone can scan the codes to go to the organizations websites.

The North Pole Community Chamber of Commerce said the objective is to bridge the gap between those in need and the organizations that offer help.

“The goal is just to broaden the list of resources we have for those people out there,” explained Vice President Howard Rixie. He added that they hope to fill the entire wall with plaques.
