40th annual Santa Dog fundraiser under way at Bueche’s Food World | Local [Video]

Bueche’s Food World in Flushing is hosting the 40th annual Santa Dog fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society of Genesee County.

FLUSHING, Mich. (WJRT) – The 40th annual Santa Dog and Rein-dogs benefit is back at Bueche’s Food World in Flushing.

Fuzzy friends from the Humane Society of Genesee County are dressing up for the holiday season. People can donate food or money for the organization during the annual fundraiser.

The money is held in an account at Bueche’s Food World and is used to buy food and shelter supplies throughout the year.

“They love them. People just love them,” said David Schmieder, the humane society’s executive director. “I mean, you can stand here — sometimes there is the same people two or three times a day — and every time they come in they go right to the dogs. They love them.”
