Walk to End Alzheimer’s returns to Redding, Chico | Local [Video]

CHICO, Calif.  The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming to Redding on Saturday as the  Alzheimer’s Association hosts its signature fundraising event. 

The event will be Saturday at the Redding Civic Auditorium lawn. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by a ceremony. The walk begins at 10 a.m. 

The event will be coming to Chico on Oct. 8 at Sycamore Field. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by a ceremony. The walk begins at 10 a.m. 

In 2020, there was an estimated 690,000 people over the age of 65 in California living with Alzheimer’s. That number is expected to rise by 21% by 2025.

The walk to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Disease and supports the Alzheimer’s Association, a nonprofit that provides care, support and research.
