Awesome Games Done Quick returns for its first major charity marathon of 2024, so here’s everything you need to know about the event.
Since its inception in 2010, Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) has become the flagship event for speedrunners – where people compete to complete games, or sections of games, as fast as possible and raise money for charity at the same time.
This year’s event is no different. Taking place in-person in Pittsburgh, US, Awesome Games Done Quick 2024 is being held in support of the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Last year’s event raised over $2.6 million for the organisation.
The event spans an entire week with back-to-back runs, with the line-up this year ranging from newbies like Starfield to obscurities like Backyard Skateboarding.
