ApplyBoard hosts Canada’s minister of Immigration [Video]

Ontario-based AI-enabled student marketplace ApplyBoard has hosted Canada’s minister of Immigration Ahmed Hussen and member of Parliament Kitchener, Raj Saini, at its head office to open a discussion around how to make education more accessible to students everywhere.

Part of ApplyBoard’s success is seen in gaining the support of the Canadian government, who can make real changes in the way the country facilitates the integration of newcomers and students who wish to establish their place in Canadian communities.

In July 2018, the business raised CAD$17 million Series A funding, led by Silicon Valley-based Artiman Ventures to boost its mission.

Speaking to the ApplyBoard team, Hussen said that since his election, he has connected with many individuals and companies who hold a similar vision as ApplyBoard to learn about the challenges Canada faces in attracting talent.
