Last-minute vacation planners hoping to score a lakeside cabin this summer in Minnesota may need to look elsewhere.
Despite Minnesota’s average gallon of regular gas costing an average of $4.69 headed into the Fourth of July weekend, that doesn’t seem to be slowing down demand for the state’s vacation destinations.
“Just last week there was a family reunion that booked 11 cabins at once,” said Jeff Anderson with Anderson’s Family Resorts. “They flew-in and drove-in from all over the place including Florida, California, and, Arizona.”
Anderson said on Thursday during the WCCO Radio Morning News with Vineeta Sawkar that it’s evident people still want to travel and make memories with the families.
With that being the case, some last-minute vacation planners could be left without a place to stay if they wait too long.
