A beloved feral cat who roamed the grounds of Disneyland and visited guests at a special dining lounge where he stole their hearts, has died.
Nutmeg — a long-haired orange cat who patrolled for rodents at the members-only Magic Key Terrace inside Disney California Adventure Park in Anaheim — was one of the park’s most well-known felines.
“Nutmeg was one of Disneyland Resort’s feral cats, tasked with keeping the rat population down around the parks and ensuring the only rodents guests see are Mickey and Minnie Mouse,” according to Disneyland News Today, which shared the news of Nutmeg’s death.
Nutmeg was so fond of visiting passholders and cast members at the Magic Key Terrace, bartenders there even created a drink named after him.
