Dolgeville Presents Concept of New Waterfront Park | News [Video]

DOLGEVILLE, N.Y. — The concept plans for a new waterfront park in Dolgeville are revealed to help prevent flooding in that area.

The village of Dolgeville held a public meeting to show the residents the concept of a new waterfront park on North Main Street.

This new idea comes after the village flood in 2019 and received a grant from the Department of Environmental Conservation.

The goal of this is to create flood mitigation and a possible park for the homes being raised on Main Street.

Right at Basset Health Center, the village laid out the concept ideas to limit the flood damage to the public.

Residents who attended were able to give feedback and opinions on what they liked or disliked about the project. This included what amenities should be added and other things they missed in the concept phase.

Overall, it was a good response from the public.
