Aamir Yazdani is a civil engineer from UET, Lahore and MSc Irrigation Engineering from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom, with primary schooling from the Karachi Grammar School & Lawrence College, Murree.

He has a keen interest in the Quran with respect to the norms and practices prevalent in the Muslim society, more so in the Pakistani society. He contends the Quran has this brilliant ability of addressing the validity of these prevalent practices in society in half a sentence, one or at best two sentences (ayaats).

It is with this approach that Mr. Yazdani has thought of presenting Quran’s perception through youtube in short clips. Mr. Yazdani is not a scholar. He is a common man, who sees a vast chasm and dichotomy between the society’s morals and values and the teachings of Quran (like so many around us). He wants to put Quran’s take on our social norms and practices side by side for the common man to listen to and ponder. Indeed, as the Quran says in its chapter 47: 24: “Will they not ponder on the Quran. Are there locks upon their hearts?”

His passion for presenting the Quran, especially to the youth, made him teach Islamic Studies and Ethics at University level. Mr. Yazdani is currently an adjunct Associate Professor in the Institute of Arts & Culture where he teaches Islamic Studies to the foundation year and in the Pakistan Institute of Fashion & Design in Lahore. He conducts weekly online classes on Islam and Quran to children in the UK, Australia and New Zealand.
Mr. Aamir Yazdani is also invited as a Guest Speaker at various Universities and Schools. He has given talks on relevant topics such as:

His manuscript for other books ‘Ilm aur Aql’ and ‘Itikaf Diary’ both in Urdu, are ready for publication.

He has an auspicious college history in being the Joint Editor – Gazette Newsletter, Government College Lahore and awarded the College Crest for academics and co & extra-curricular activities and being the Captain & Colour Holder of the College Tennis team and member Squash Team in the Lawrence College, Murree.
