From Santa, to trains, to a festival of trees to help usher in the holiday season — here’s what’s happening in Connecticut this weekend!
CONNECTICUT, USA — It’s the first weekend of December and the holiday season is in gear! It’ll be warmer Friday, with clouds and a chance of rain this weekend, but that doesn’t mean the festivities and holiday activities are on pause!
Here’s what’s happening across the state this weekend.
Celebrate this season with the Festival of Trees & Traditions at the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art in Hartford! Running from Nov. 30 to Dec. 10, this major holiday fundraiser hosts holiday trees and wreaths decorated by community members, artists, and volunteers. The trees turn the galleries into a winter wonderland, and all items for sale will support the museum’s special exhibitions, programs, and operating expenses. During this event, a $5 fundraising surcharge is added to all museum admissions. Learn more about admission and hours of operation here.
