Free Drive-Thru and Walk-Up Food and Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway in Utica | Education [Video]

Johnson Park Center Giveaway

UTICA, N.Y. — There is a free school supplies and food giveaway at the Johnson Park Center Food Pantry. 

The free drive-through event is Aug. 21 and 22.

On Monday, Aug. 21, the drive-thru event took place from 2 to 6:30 p.m.

On Tuesday, Aug. 22, there will be the walk-up event from 2 to 6 p.m.

For school supplies, there will be sport bags available full of filler paper, notebooks, folders, glue, crayons, markers, pencils and scissors. 

As for the food that’s available during this giveaway, there will be drumsticks, shrimp, eggs, ziti, cereal, crackers, snacks, rice, macaroni, bread and blueberries. 

Personal hygiene items like toothbrushes, soap and deodorant will be available. 

In order to participate, you must be registered with the JPC. If you are not registered, you need to bring your ID down to The Johnson Park Center Food Pantry, which is located at 1400 West Street in Utica.

World Central Kitchen held an interfaith Celebration of Life to honor our heroes killed in Gaza. The memorial service was held at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC on Thursday, April 25.
