Fundraiser at King Family Vineyards to benefit Camp Holiday Trails [Video]

Hope Grows, an annual benefit for Camp Holiday Trails, was presented as a gala event and a virtual gathering before returning from a pandemic pause in 2021 as a family-friendly outdoor fundraiser at King Family Vineyards.

What has not changed over the celebration’s past decade is its focus on children and teens with medical needs who thrive in overnight camping experiences they otherwise might not have had.

“I call it a good time for a great cause,” Angelica Hickey, regional director of philanthropy for Camp Holiday Trails, told The Daily Progress. “It’s fundraising with fun.”

Hickey said that the Camp Holiday Trails experience costs about $2,000 per camper, so meeting the $50,000 goal for Sunday afternoon’s event will provide summer fun for 25 campers ages 7 to 17, or about three cabins’ worth.
